That’s how my son adapts the lyrics to Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow….
Tis the season for misunderstandings!
I was driving away from my parent’s house a few weeks ago and my four year old daughter sighed. “I feel sorry for Grammy and Grandpa,” she said.
“Why, sweetheart?” I asked.
“When are they ever going to have kids??” she asked.
Ah, some misunderstandings are just too big to fix all at once…
I’ll be trying to relax and avoid any more of those this month. I just turned in the second novel in the Chronicles of the Scribe series, dealt with a pandemic of stomach flu, and have been cuddling a giant green iguana who is homesick for South America.
I also read a profound, delightful book this week: A Three Dog Life. If you need a glimpse into the life of someone who truly lives her life despite unimaginable loss, this is the book for you. It’s also a sweet reminder of how blessed we are to own dogs.
This weekend I’ll be in Des Moines for the final stop on our Tea for Three book tour. Check out my friend Kim Stuart’s website (link on blogroll) for more info. Drop by and say hi!
