As a book and media critique for about four years online, I have delved, though the pages of books, into the ancient pasts of what is now historical ruins and silenced truths. Ginger Garret has proved to be both talented and skilled in bringing to her audience the bestseller, Chosen in 2005, Dark Hour in 2006, and best-loved Beauty Secrets of the Bible in 2007. In her sudden plunge into Historical Fiction set in the time of 1500 A.D., Ginger Garret has once more proven her gift with the pen by lying down before us In the Shadows of Lions. A novel caught between clashing worlds and religions, where women are once more silenced against the backdrop of perilous men and the greatest of these men is King Henry the VIII. Once more he chooses a Queen to bear him a male heir and the woman he chooses is the infamous Anne Boleyn. But was she infamous as portrayed throughout the pages of history school books? Could she have more to tell than just being beheaded for her fault in bearing a daughter and being disposed of for a another woman to claim the crown and a son? Did she have a guardian angel that stood by her, protecting her? All this and more could be easily answered once you grab the novel In the Shadows of Lions. Its cover is so enticing but once you read the first page you have already been captured. To be released in September the first of this year is a novel once more ready to be endeared for decades to come.

I have just become aware of your writings and extremely fond of discovery. God awaked my desire to learn more about Esther and then I came across your book in a local bookstore, “Secrets of Womanhood”, which lead me to your website to find you other writings. I am very interested in your writings on Beauty Secrets as well. I have begun my “Esther Year” with my 11 year old daughter and anticipate a glorious year with her. Thank you,
Tamie
